Valeting and Detailing

Valeting

K.R Autos valeting packages start from just £45 and can be tailored to your needs. Please contact Kelly if you require any further information or have any questions.

Valeting goes a step further than just a “quick wash” it's the most important part, the pre-wash stage is designed to remove as much dirt, grime and contaminants from the vehicles paintwork as possible before coming in to contact with it.

The two-step process, using a pre-cleaner and a snow foam means that extra care is taken from the very first step to minimize the risk of scratches and marks to the paintwork.

High quality safe wash shampoos are used to gently clean the exterior whilst the decontamination stage helps to remove tree sap, road tar and Iron fallout and metal particles that come from hot brake discs.

Detailing

Car detailing

Detailing is a restorative process which predominantly applies to the paintwork but can apply to other areas such as the exhaust pipes, exterior plastics and trim. The interior process applies mainly to leather, plastics and fabrics.

The overall aim is to refine the paintwork by removing scratches and swirl marks, this improves the vehicle’s appearance by adding gloss and luster but also offers a protective layer that helps to repel water, dirt, and other contaminants making it easier to keep the car clean in the future.

Detailing does not eliminate all defects and it does not deal with major defects such as deep scratches or dents which would require a trip to the body repair shop.

Optional Extras

This is where everything comes together, the real icing on the cake, once the car has been thoroughly cleaned, decontaminated and the finish enhanced, it needs to be properly protected.

K.R Autos optional extras include wax, sealants and ceramic coatings, below is a brief breakdown that explains those options.

Waxes typically offer the least amount of durability but a good natural wax e.g. beeswax, carnauba etc. can last anywhere from 1 to 4 months.

Sealants offer a step-up in terms of longevity, usually a synthetic product that is polymer-based, a good sealant can last anywhere from 4 to 6 months.

Finally, ceramic coatings, silicon dioxide or Si02 offer the most in terms of protection, providing a tough layer which offers an ultra-hydrophobic barrier to the elements that can last from 1 to 3 years.
